New Applications of Behavioral Insights to Business Sustainability and Responsibility - May 7-9, 2020
This convening explores how organizations and universities can better equip practitioners and graduates to work in the behavioral insights space and how BI units can better share their knowledge, experiences, and expertise with one another.

Beinhocker-Hanauer Book Workshop - March 5-6, 2020
This convening, which gathered twenty-one participants from within and beyond academia, is designed to workshop a book draft written by Eric Beinhocker, from the University of Oxford and Nick Hanauer, co-founder of Second Avenue Partners. The book is described so far as a synthesis of work by people across the new economics and beyond neoliberalism community, and aims at re-thinking contemporary economic policies.
Balzan Climate Change - February 20-22, 2020
This workshop, funded by the Balzan Foundation and held at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, is the third in a series of working sessions on the politics of climate change. Its principal purpose is to enable five working groups, each engaged in a distinct research project on this subject, to receive comments and engage in discussions of their work in progress.
Causal Inference for Social Impact - January 23-24, 2020
The workshop objective is to develop recommendations for a research agenda that advances methods and practice for non-randomized causal inference, using the lens of place-based initiatives.
Moral Political Economy Climate Workshop - November 15, 2019
The goal of the meeting is to inform the agenda on climate and environmental policy for the moral political economy project. The moral political economy project has generated a network of over 80 academics, journalists, politicians, civil society activists, and technologists concerned with the future of capitalist democracies. The project emerged from the recognition that the current political economic framework is fraying and seeks to build a new one. The new framework draws on the best social scientific knowledge about humans and their behavior to better serve the needs of individuals, society, and the environment.
Rethinking the Corporation - October 31, 2019
The goals of the meeting are: 1) to craft an agenda to define actionable steps toward changes in policy and practice; and 2) to advance our thinking about the institutions of a new moral political economy.
